The John C. Riccio Grant Program

Italian Community Services Educational Advancement Committee

During its more than one hundred years of service to the Italian Community, Italian Community Services has supported both the teaching of English to new immigrants and the teaching of Italian to those whose first language is English.

Each year, Italian Community Services (“ICS”), through the John C. Riccio Educational Grant Program, makes grants of limited amounts for specific needs to schools/and or organizations with exemplary Italian language and curricula. We hope to expand this program in 2018.

We request that any school or organization interested in applying for a grant would provide us with a statement of no more than three pages describing your school or organization and providing your tax status the breadth and scope of your language program, i.e. levels and number of classes offered how the grant would be used, i.e. textbooks, cultural programs, films etc.

Among the schools that have been funded are:

  1. Italingua
  2. Lowell High School Italian Program
  3. Marin Catholic High School
  4. St. Catherine of Siena

We ask that your grant request be submitted to ICS by March 31, 2019 to be considered for a 2019 grant.
